- Vegvisir, also known as the Runic Compass or the Viking compass. It is a symbol of protection and guidance believed to be used as a compass by Vikings. The word vegvisir means ‘wayfinder’ and ‘sign post’ in Icelandic language. It is supposed to help those who are lost... find their way!
- Yggdrasil the sacred tree, around which all else exists including the nine worlds.
- Ouroboros the serpent eating its own tail, signifying infinity and the cycle of birth, death and rebirth.
- The Helm of Awe or Aegishjalmur. This symbolises strength in battle and was often worn by warriors as it was believed to provide strength and protection.

Oh and a quick history lesson... a Viking expedition led by Leif Eriksson visited North America 500 years before the birth of Christopher Columbus!
